The Seal Bay Nature Reserve in Cape St Francis offers several short, scenic trails through protected coastal thicket and along the shoreline. Maintained by FOSTER (Friends of the St Francis Nature Areas), these trails are popular for their ocean views and birdwatching opportunities. Terrain: The reserve protects 38 hectares of coastal vegetation where dense thicket is replacing fynbos. Paths wind through this green belt between the village homes and the sea. Birding: With over 200 recorded bird species, it is a prime spot for birders. Look for the rare African Black Oystercatcher. Location & Access: Access points are located along da Gama Road and from a cul-de-sac off Shearwater Drive in Cape St Francis.
