To make exceptional wine, you need excellent grapes. This journey to greatness starts in the soils the vines are planted in. At Vrede en Lust we choose to make wines from grapes off our own vineyards that are grown in the best regions in South Africa. To build layers of complexity, the same grape cultivar is planted in multiple soil types and then harvested at different times during the season.
