About Table Mountain Scout Hut
The Scout Mountain Club (SMC) Hut is a historic stone building located on the "Back Table" of Table Mountain. Originally built as an overseer's cottage during the construction of the Woodhead Reservoir in the late 19th century, it has been maintained by SCOUTS South Africa for use by Scouts and approved groups since 1965
