"An absolute hidden gem with a beautiful purpose! On the Edge is a fantastic community-run non-profit restaurant sitting right next to the penguin colony at Stony Point. The views over the wild ocean are breathtaking, and you can literally watch wild African penguins stroll past the outdoor deck while you eat. The food is incredible value for money—the grilled hake was exceptionally fresh, and the calamari was perfectly cooked. Because they don't have a liquor license, you can bring your own wine or beer with absolutely zero corkage fee. The staff are incredibly warm and welcoming, though it gets exceptionally busy on Sunday lunchtimes, so booking or arriving early is recommended. It feels amazing knowing all the proceeds go directly back into uplifting the local Mooiuitsig community."
