About Big Bay Parkrun

Big Bay parkrun is a free, timed 5km community event held every Saturday at 8:00 AM at Eden on the Bay in Big Bay, Cape Town. The course features a mix of grass, paved paths, and soft beach sand that takes participants along the coastline, offering direct views of Table Mountain and Robben Island. Because of local beach regulations, dogs are not permitted at this event, and the soft sand terrain makes the route unsuitable for prams and buggies. Participation is entirely free, but runners and walkers must register online beforehand and bring a scannable barcode to receive an official finish time.
