Positioned as a critical environmental highway, the Brodie Link Nature Reserve spans across 94 hectares of pristine Overberg wilderness to connect the Kogelberg Biosphere with the sea. The reserve is highly celebrated for the Brodie Link Trail, a gentler, non-summit mountainside alternative to the grueling Hangklip Peak paths. Starting at the access gate along Clarence Road, the natural single-track footpath weaves through fields of recovering mountain fynbos, wetlands, and proteas. The route scales gently across the slope to reach a breathtaking, elevated viewpoint that looks directly down over the village of Betty's Bay and False Bay. Free to enter and completely open to the public, it provides an unhurried, highly scenic outdoor trek.
