About Schoongezicht Campsite
Schoongezicht Campsite is a highly-rated nature getaway located at the foot of the Skurweberg mountains in the Koue Bokkeveld, Western Cape. It sits on a scenic farm near Op-die-Berg and is roughly a two-and-a-half-hour drive from Cape Town. The resort is famous for its natural, spring-fed swimming dams that feature real white, beach-like sand. Communal Campsites: There are 15 communal stands split into two main areas—Hoefie's Den (shaded under large oak trees) and Lapa Kamp (set on green grass lawns). Private Campsites: There are 4 secluded, off-grid private sites including Pluto, Dassiegat, Morning Glory, and SandStrand. They do not have electricity but feature their own private open-air ablutions (with gas geysers or donkey boilers), private lapas, and private spring-water swimming holes.
