About Studio98

Studio98 is a private art gallery and creative hub located in the rural town of Napier. It is the collaborative space of husband-and-wife duo Herman van Bon, a fine art photographer, and Yvonne de Wit, a jewellery designer. The studio is famously housed in a bright yellow building on the main road and is a primary stop during the annual Creative Napier art event. Yvonne de Wit: Handcrafts "Down to Earth" jewellery using local soil, stones, and pigments bonded naturally to silver and copper. Herman van Bon: Specialises in "Photo-Graphics," which are fine art photographs manipulated with digital painting and textures to create surreal, abstract landscapes. Appointments: Outside of open weekends, it is highly recommended to book a visit or ring the bell at the gate, as the owners are often working in their private studios.
