Situated at the southern edge of the Rooi-Els peninsula, this elevated clearing presents a completely unobstructed view looking straight across the vast expanses of False Bay toward Cape Point and the silhouettes of the Cape Peninsula mountains. It is highly celebrated by nature lovers as a prime land-based whale-watching site during the winter months, as well as an incredible birding hotspot where lucky enthusiasts can spot the rare Cape Rockjumper or Verreaux's Eagles soaring off the adjacent mountain cliffs.
