Victoria Reservoir, located on the "Back Table" of Table Mountain, is a serene and historic destination favored by hikers for its quiet atmosphere and stunning fynbos scenery. It is one of five reservoirs built on the mountain between 1890 and 1907 to meet the city's growing water needs. The reservoir is surrounded by some of the richest floral regions in the world, with over 70% of the flowers being endemic to Table Mountain. In late summer, you can find rare Red Disas blooming in nearby ravines like Disa Gorge.
