About Timour Hall Villa Estate
The villa’s history dates back to 1784. Over nearly 200 years, it has evolved into a "museum of building fancies," featuring Victorian-style modifications, a Cape Dutch gable, and a ballroom with a domed ceiling. Notable residents include Sir Percy FitzPatrick, author of Jock of the Bushveld, who lived there as a child. The building previously served as a private hospital and a nursery before being restored by the IPA in the late 1980s.
