The Steenbras Dam Lower Lookout Point (often referred to as the Steenbras Dam Viewpoint) is a scenic lay-by located approximately halfway up the steep Steenbras Mountain Road overlooking Gordon's Bay. This lower vantage point offers panoramic views of False Bay, the Helderberg basin, and the "Sleeping Giant" mountain range. Access: Reached via a steep, winding road from Gordon's Bay. While the road continues to the Steenbras Water Treatment Plant, public access is restricted by a boom gate just beyond the viewpoints; only permit holders can proceed to the dam itself.
