The lower cave area allows travellers to park their off-road vehicles directly underneath the protective cliff face, shielding camps from unexpected mountain rain, though visitors should prepare for strong winds that can tunnel dynamically through the arid valley. App users should note that this is a completely wild, unserviced site with no running water or electricity and it should not be confused with the similarly named, fully equipped luxury cave stays found in the Eastern Cape's Baviaanskloof or the Western Cape's Cederberg mountains.
