Design & History: Standing over 6 metres high, it was originally an old water tower converted into a giant, functioning red postbox. Significance: It serves as a tribute to the region's spectacular annual wildflower bloom, which blankets the surrounding Hantam and Namaqualand landscapes. Mail Services: While it is a massive tourist attraction, there is a smaller, active postbox built into the structure where you can mail letters to receive a special "Calvinia Flower" postmark.
