Nkumbe View Site
About Nkumbe View Site
The Nkumbe View Site is an elevated lookout point located on a prominent ridge along the H10 main road in the southern-central region of Kruger National Park, South Africa. Positioned roughly 35 kilometres north of the Lower Sabie Rest Camp and approximately 8 kilometres south of the Tshokwane Picnic Site, this location features a small parking area and a thatched-roof wooden shelter equipped with concrete seating.
Because it rises about 130 metres above the surrounding landscape, the site offers an expansive, westward-facing panoramic view over the lower-lying savanna plains toward the distant Mpumalanga Drakensberg mountains. As a designated get-out point, visitors are legally permitted to exit their vehicles within the immediate lookout area to rest and scan the plains below for regional wildlife, such as elephants, zebras, and wildebeest, using binoculars or cameras.
