About Sarnia Japanese Gardens
The Sarnia Japanese Gardens, also referred to as the Queensburgh Japanese Gardens, is a public municipal park situated on Highlands Road in Farningham Ridge, Pinetown. The grounds feature paved walking paths, distinctive arched bridges, a central dam home to resident ducks, dedicated picnic and braai areas, and a children's playground.
The park serves as a community green space open to the public daily, offering dual access points via Bartlett Road and Highlands Road. Because it is surrounded by natural vegetation, the area regularly attracts local wildlife, including vervet monkeys. It is managed by the eThekwini Municipality, and the facilities include public restrooms and on-site parking for visitors.
