About Glenshiel
Glenshiel is a prominent heritage estate and national monument located in the suburb of Westcliff, Johannesburg. Designed by renowned architect Sir Herbert Baker and completed in 1910, the mansion is widely considered one of the city's finest examples of early 20th-century residential architecture. Today, Glenshiel serves as the National Headquarters of the Order of St John in South Africa. It is most widely known to the public as a prestigious event venue and for hosting the annual Glenshiel Fair, a popular Christmas market that raises funds for the Order's charitable health and eye care projects.
