About Rebstein Bridge
The Rebstein Bridge is a low-water road bridge situated on Iffley Road in Henley on Klip, a small village located within the Midvaal Local Municipality in Gauteng. Built to cross a section of the Klip River, the bridge was officially opened to public traffic in May 1961 to improve local connectivity within the residential area.
Structurally, it functions as one of the community's critical river crossings, which are frequently monitored by local authorities during heavy summer rains due to the region's susceptibility to flash flooding and high water levels. Today, it remains an active piece of municipal transport infrastructure, serving as a functional link for daily commuters and a recognized geographic landmark within the historical layout of Henley on Klip.
