About Cape Morgan Lighthouse
The Cape Morgan Lighthouse is a fully automated, unmanned lighthouse situated within the Cape Morgan Nature Reserve on South Africa's Wild Coast. First lit on 5 February 1964, it recently marked 60 years of service in 2024 as the second youngest of ten lighthouses along the Eastern Cape coast. Getting There - Hiking from Morgan Bay: A scenic 3–4 km walk (roughly 1.5–2 hours) starting from the end of Morgan Bay beach, passing a tidal pool and an old titanium mine pump house.
