About Giant Redwoods
The Giant Redwoods of Hogsback, are located within the historic Hogsback Arboretum, which was established in 1884. These Californian Coastal Redwoods (Sequoia sempervirens) are over 120 years old and rank among the largest of their species in the country. Visitors can access them via flat, well-marked walking paths that also lead to the nearby 39 Steps Waterfall. Entry to the Arboretum is free, and the site serves as a habitat for local wildlife, including the rare Cape Parrot.
