About 39 Steps Waterfall
The 39 Steps Waterfall is a natural cascade located within the Hogsback Arboretum in the Eastern Cape. It gets its name from a series of terraced rock formations that resemble stairs, over which the water flows into a shallow pool below. The waterfall is reached via a flat, well-marked trail from Oak Avenue that takes approximately 10 to 15 minutes to walk, making it one of the most accessible natural landmarks in the village. Start at Oak Avenue, right adjacent to the Village Green in the center of Hogsback village. Enter the gates of the Arboretum. Follow the clear guiding signs pointing toward the waterfall.
