About Seal Point Lighthouse
The Seal Point Lighthouse is a historic maritime landmark situated in Cape St Francis, Eastern Cape Completed in 1878, it stands as the tallest masonry lighthouse in the country at 27.75 metres. Construction: Building materials were hauled by ox-wagon from Humansdorp, a trip that took two weeks per journey. Guided Tours: Visitors can climb the 154 steps to the lantern room for panoramic ocean views. Tours cost *R80 per person.
