About King's Blockhouse Landmark
The King's Blockhouse on the slopes of Devil's Peak is a standout historical destination for hikers, trail runners, and history buffs. Built by the British in 1796 to defend against land attacks, it remains the most well-preserved of the three original Mowbray Ridge fortifications. Today, it is a free-to-visit national monument and a premier viewpoint.
