About British Monument at Spion Kop
The British Monument at Spion Kop, located on the summit of the battlefield in KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa, is a white obelisk dedicated to the British soldiers who died on January 23–24, 1900. It honors those killed during one of the Second Boer War's bloodiest battles, with many soldiers buried in nearby mass graves and shallow trenches.
