The Statue of President Thomas François Burgers is a bronze monument located within Burgers Park in Pretoria Central. Erected in 1954, the statue was designed by the renowned sculptor Moses Kottler to honour the fourth president of the South African Republic (ZAR). History: Established in the 1870s as a botanical garden, it is the oldest park in Pretoria and a declared National Monument. Location: The park is situated at the corner of Thabo Sehume (formerly Andries) and Jeff Masemola (formerly Jacob Maré) Streets, adjacent to the historic Melrose House Museum.
