The SADF Wall of Remembrance (often referred to in the context of the SANDF) is located on the grounds of the Voortrekker Monument Heritage Site in Pretoria. Inaugurated on 25 October 2009, this privately funded memorial commemorates members of the South African Defence Force (SADF) who died in the line of duty between 31 May 1961 and 27 April 1994. Names of the Fallen: The wall contains over 2,500 names, including approximately 800 individuals killed in action. The list is updated annually as ongoing research uncovers more names.
