About Jager’s Walk
Jager’s Walk, commonly known by locals as the "Catwalk," is a scenic 1.3-km paved coastal promenade in Fish Hoek, South Africa. This level, wheelchair-friendly path curves along the coastline between the southern end of Fish Hoek Beach and Sunny Cove Station, offering panoramic views of False Bay and the surrounding mountains. Whale Watching: During the season (typically June to November), the elevated path provides a prime vantage point for spotting southern right whales in the bay. Rock Pools: Along the walk, you can find Skellie's Pool, a small natural rock pool perfect for exploring sea life or snorkeling. Scenic Benches: The walkway is lined with numerous brightly coloured benches, many of which are commemorative, where visitors can sit and enjoy the fresh sea air.
