About Sirkelsvlei
The Sirkelsvlei Hiking Trail is a scenic circular route located within the Cape Point Nature Reserve (part of Table Mountain National Park) in South Africa. The trail is renowned for leading hikers to Sirkelsvlei, the largest body of freshwater in the reserve, which sits uncharacteristically on a ridge overlooking the ocean. Distance: Approximately 7.5 km (4.6 miles). Difficulty: Generally rated as Moderate. It begins with a steep initial incline from the parking area but levels out into a relatively easy, flat walk across the plateau. Starting Point: Most commonly begins at the Olifantsbos parking area, which is well-signposted within the reserve.
