About Kleinmond Coastal Walkway
The Kleinmond Coastal Walkway is one of the Overberg’s most beautiful seaside trails, stretching approximately 6 km (return) along the rugged shoreline between the Kleinmond Harbour and Palmiet Beach. This well-maintained path features a smooth mix of wooden boardwalks, paved concrete paths, and light single-track dirt trails, making it perfectly suited for an easy family stroll, morning runs, or photography. Meandering through the pristine, unspoiled fynbos of the UNESCO-recognized Kogelberg Biosphere Reserve, the walkway offers panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean. It serves as a premier vantage point for spotting pods of dolphins or watching Southern Right Whales perform offshore during whale season (June to November).
