The Majakaneng Heritage Hiking Trails, located in the Magaliesberg Biosphere Reserve near Brits, North West, are a community-owned and run initiative offering scenic views and historical landmarks. 10km Heritage Trail: A moderate-to-difficult circular hike that winds to the mountain summit, offering 360-degree views of the Magaliesberg and Hartbeespoort Dam. It features historic British fortifications (blockhouses) from the South African War. 5km Route: A moderate trail reaching the top of the first northern ridge. 3km Forest Walk: An easier, shady walk through the wooded kloof and alongside a mountain stream.
