About Steenkampsberg Hiking Trail
The Steenkampsberg Hiking Trail is a two-day backpacking route located approximately 4 kilometres outside of Dullstroom within the high-altitude grasslands of the Steenkampsberg Nature Reserve. Situated at an elevation of roughly 2,000 meters above sea level, the trail features a sub-alpine climate with volatile weather patterns and is known for sightings of diverse wildlife, including Eland, Blesbok, Black Wildebeest, and Zebra - as well as the endangered Wattled Crane.
