Naval Hill Nature Reserve, also known as the Franklin Game Reserve, is a unique 250-hectare wildlife sanctuary located in the heart of Bloemfontein, South Africa. It is one of the few nature reserves in the world situated entirely within a city centre, offering panoramic 360-degree views of the "City of Roses". Wildlife Viewing: Despite being urban, the reserve is home to giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, springboks, and ostriches. There are no large predators, making it safe for outdoor activities. Hiking: The Naval Hill Trail is a moderate 4.3km loop (approx. 1–1.5 hours) that offers excellent city vistas and wildlife encounters.
