About COASTAL FYNBOS TRAIL

Discover the natural beauty of the Eastern Cape on the Coastal Fynbos Trail, an easy-to-walk 7 km circular route starting from Sappershoek at the eastern end of Schoenmakerskop. The trail leads you inland through a lush sea of indigenous fynbos plants before looping back along a high ridge with panoramic views of the Indian Ocean. Part of the world-famous Cape Floral Kingdom, it is a prime spot for viewing unique local flowers, enjoying a peaceful nature walk, or scanning the waves for migratory whales and dolphins.
