About Kiepersol River House / Lodge
Kiepersol River House is a thatch-roof, self-catering lodge located on the Schoemanshof property along the banks of the Vaal River, situated within the Vredefort Dome World Heritage Site near Potchefstroom. The house features three bedrooms with double beds and a loft room with two single beds, allowing it to accommodate a maximum of six adults and two children.
Designed as a tranquil nature retreat, the property enforces strict quiet hours and a no-music policy, and it does not allow pets or bachelor parties. Guests have direct access to the river for catch-and-release fly fishing targeting species like Yellowfish, Carp, Barbel, and Muddies, as well as a marked 3 to 5-kilometer hiking trail leading to a scenic viewpoint. The unit is fully equipped for self-catering, includes a private braai and boma area, and provides secure parking, with additional firewood available on-site.
