Shishangeni Private Lodge occupies a 15,000-hectare private concession known as the Mpanamana Concession, situated in the southeastern region of Kruger National Park, near the Crocodile Bridge Gate. The property offers three distinct accommodation options: the Shishangeni Main Lodge, which comprises 22 individual chalets complete with private viewing decks, fireplaces, and outdoor showers; Camp Shonga, an eco-friendly tented camp positioned near the Lebombo Mountains; and Camp Shawu, a small, secluded outpost featuring 5 luxury tents overlooking the Mpanamana Dam. Because the lodge operates within a private concession, guides are permitted to conduct off-road game drives to track the Big Five, ensuring fewer vehicles during wildlife sightings compared to public park roads. Property amenities include an outdoor swimming pool, an on-site restaurant serving traditional boma dinners, a bar, a fitness center, a spa, and conference facilities, with access available via Skukuza Airport or Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport.
