About Kishugu Aviation FFA
Standing as an undisputed global pioneer in integrated fire management and wildfire suppression, Kishugu Aviation delivers elite aerial logistics right from the old Nelspruit Airport airfield. Originally established in 1989 as the Forest Fire Association, this highly professional aviation group commands a versatile fleet of over 40 aircraft including massive Air Tractor AT-802 water bombers, specialized UH-1H Huey deployment helicopters, and Cessna command planes. While widely renowned for piloting the critical national Working on Fire protection framework, the base operates as a multi-tier facility featuring an expert Aviation Maintenance Organisation (AMO) and a premier Aviation Training Organisation (ATO) where students can train for private and commercial pilot licenses. Beyond environmental defense, their specialized teams deliver premier services across drone cinema photography, anti-poaching operations, and expert wildlife game airlifting.
