About Doorndraai Dam Campsite
Doorndraai Dam Campsite is located within the Doorndraai Dam Nature Reserve in the Waterberg region of Limpopo. Positioned along the shoreline of the dam, the site accommodates campers and caravan travelers with a mix of standard stands and a dedicated group camping area. The terrain supports outdoor activities including bank angling for carp and bass, motorized boating, canoeing, and game viewing for species such as giraffe, zebra, and various antelopes.
On-site facilities include ablution blocks with toilets and showers; however, the resort frequently experiences prolonged electrical grid outages, which directly impacts the availability of power at the stands and the supply of hot water. Access to the reserve involves driving on a gravel road, and visitors generally prepare for self-sufficient camping by bringing independent power, lighting, and cooling equipment.
