About Siggi's German Restaurant
Siggi’s German Restaurant & Pub is an old-world, family-friendly establishment located at 63 Basil Hulett Drive in Salt Rock. Established in October 2008 by Chris Schaedle as a tribute to his late father, Siegfried, the restaurant features a cozy indoor tavern setting with traditional checkered tablecloths, a sea-facing outdoor veranda, a pet-friendly beer garden, and an outdoor children's playground.
The menu focuses on authentic German cuisine, showcasing house specialties like crispy Eisbein served with sauerkraut, the Bavarian Schlacht Platter, Swiss Pork Schnitzels, and classic Frankfurters, all complemented by imported German draught beers and traditional schnapps. Functioning as a lively community hub along the Dolphin Coast, the venue regularly hosts live comedy sets, pub quiz nights, and broadcasts major sporting events, experiencing its highest volume of foot traffic during Friday evenings, Saturday nights, and Sunday lunch hours.
