The Vaal River Meander Wine Route is an annual winter wine festival hosted across multiple riverside venues along the Vaal River in Vanderbijlpark and surrounding areas. Running on weekends and public holidays between June and July, the event features boutique South African wines hosted at localized establishments like Stonehaven on Vaal, Liquid Lounge, Waterfront Country Lodge, and the Sylviavale Heritage Village.

Attendees navigate the route using regional maps or passports, with transport options including standard road travel as well as water taxis, river cruisers, and houseboats. The festival is traditionally anchored by a flagship gathering, the Vaal Wine Expo, which takes place at Pont de Val to mark the season. Participating estates offer bottle sales directly to visitors, and individual venues operate their tastings from midday until early evening throughout the festival's seasonal run.
