About The South African State Theatre

The South African State Theatre (SAST), located at 320 Pretorius Street in the Pretoria CBD, is the largest theatre complex in Africa. Since opening in 1981, it has served as a national flagship for the performing arts, hosting a diverse array of drama, opera, ballet, and musical theatre across its six venues. The complex covers over 72,000 m² and houses specialized auditoriums to suit different production scales.
