About Bryanston Parkrun
The Bryanston parkrun is a free, weekly, timed 5km event held every Saturday at 8:00 am at Riverside Park along the Braamfontein Spruit in Johannesburg. The relatively flat out-and-back course consists of grass and gravel trails, passing local community landmarks like the Tau (lion) and Ilanga (elephant) metallic sculptures. Participants must complete a one-time online registration and bring a printed, scannable barcode to receive an official time, with many runners gathering at the nearby Riverside Shopping Centre afterward.
