About Maccauvlei Golf Club
Maccauvlei Golf Club is a historic 18-hole championship golf course established in 1926 along the Vaal River in Vereeniging, South Africa. Renowned as the "Queen of Inland Links," the Par 72 course features an inland sand-belt foundation, roughly 90 natural bunkers, and a signature 17th hole with a 120-meter bunker. Restored by Peter Matkovich in 1999, this public-access venue historically hosted four South African Open Championships and features a 1920s clubhouse, a Pro Shop, and the Dormy House accommodation facility.
