Upper Vaal River Rafting is an adventure experience operated by Tapimanzi Adventures, based out of 60 Bashee Street, Three Rivers, Vereeniging, South Africa. Located approximately one hour south of Johannesburg, this section of the river spans from the Vaal Dam wall down to Viscghat, featuring multi-channelled island waterways and distinctive rapids such as the Gorge rapid.

Because of consistent water releases from the dam wall, the stretch maintains a variety of Grade 1 to 3.5 rapids even during low-water seasons. Standard excursions typically entail three to four hours on the water, with the operator providing all mandatory safety gear, including rafts, paddles, helmets, and life jackets alongside registered river guides. The venue operates year-round and accommodates group outings like corporate team building and bachelor parties by combining the rafting trips with on-site activities such as quad biking, paintball, river tubing, and tented camping.
