Otters' Haunt Eco Retreat is an off-grid nature sanctuary and adventure centre located on the banks of the Vaal River, situated two kilometres outside the town of Parys within the UNESCO-listed Vredefort Dome World Heritage Site. The property operates sustainably using solar power and borehole water, offering varied self-catering accommodations that include a larger riverside guest house with a private pool, basic A-frame bush cabins with communal facilities, and separate private chalets.

It serves as a base for outdoor recreation and educational tourism, offering guided scientific tours of the ancient asteroid impact crater led by resident specialists, alongside activities such as whitewater rafting, canoeing, fly-fishing, and birdwatching across the river's wilderness channels.
